One step further in design and details
The new house contained a kitchen that did not meet their kitchen needs, so the residents went in search of and new kitchen. Given their good experience with a bulthaup kitchen, they decided to visit bulthaup Zwolle. bulthaup's 'less is more' approach had stuck.
'We already knew exactly how we wanted the layout and Eward knew how to deal with this very well. He also had the courage to say 'no, you just shouldn't do that' when making certain choices. He helped us make decisions by giving advice from a creative perspective instead of a fixed picture in your head.
It is just that extra step in the design and in the details that makes the kitchen we have now completely blend with the house and with us'.
What are the features
Below is a brief list of the materials used and details.
Materials
The fronts of the cooking and sink area are plastic with an aluminium edge. The finish is DFAX B8 Pebble. The tall cabinet wall is in black grey dull oak, type EIVB 84.
Cooker
It is a BORA Professional hob with an integrated extractor.
Built-in appliances
The dishwasher is by Siemens, the wine cooler and refrigerator by Liebherr. The ovens are by Gaggenau.
Worksheet
The worktop on the island, with a welded-in Franke sink, and the worktop in the recess are stainless steel and 10mm strong.
What's special about this kitchen
All tall cabinets are recessed. The wine cooler and the tall cabinet on the far right each have their own niche. Construction-wise, the alcove could not be enlarged, so a front panel was planned between the two cabinets to make it look like one alcove.
